SCPX taught me a ton about community and the importance of being a church together as brothers and sisters in Christ. When I went through SCPX there were about 20 of us. Throughout the training, I grew really close to all of them and experienced firsthand what it was like to love one another and be able to receive love. It is so incredible to realize that you can truly experience a real godly love through each other. The people I met through SCPX are like family to me now, and I now live with a few of the guys I met there.
There is something so powerful about doing life together. I have realized how easy going out and doing ministry (evangelism, praying for the sick, etc.) becomes when you have people you feel spiritually connected to partnering with you. During/since SCPX I feel like I have grown so fast in my relationship with God and my love for people.
After SCPX I came to realize how everything really revolves around love. Love is powerful and life changing. There are many occasions where I go out with some friends to pray for people and we end up just loving on people. These encounters usually end up being a lot more powerful than going out with agendas. When we are just overflowing with God’s love for people they can’t help but get touched by Him.
Through SCPX God showed me what it means to be a child of God. I really experienced my identity in Jesus there. I had only been a believer for a few months before I attended SCPX, and it was so powerful finding out who I was in Christ. God transformed me from being really into drugs, partying, and depression to being someone who carried the Holy Spirit and knew it! SCPX rocket boosted me into the father heart of papa God.
SCPX isn’t just about gaining head knowledge about starting churches. It is experiential, and it’s personal. We actually go out and practice the things we learn! I saw God move in mind-blowing ways through SCPX. People were healed and experienced the tangible presence of God left and right. It was really awesome being encouraged to approach people and just see what God had in store for them.
Since SCPX God has created a lot of cool communities on and near our campus. One of my good friends came to Jesus and we started meeting up in a hookah bar to read the bible together. The first night 6-7 strangers who were just hanging at the hookah bar joined us. Now we have a weekly hookah bar church meeting! God continues to move in mysterious and miraculous ways!
